The Canadian Supercar Series (Supercar) is a car racing series for high performance and exotic race cars. Supercar provides an environment for drivers to showcase their race cars and to challenge others of similar performance.  Supercar encourages hard but fair competition under a code of respectful driving.

Supercar launched in 2012 and competitors enjoyed five years of high-level competition until 2016.  Beginning in 2017, the cars were integrated into CTCC presented by Pirelli where the GT Sport category was created to accommodate many of these ultra-performance machines.  Please see www.touringcar.ca for more detail.

Supercar Wraps Up Season Early

Toronto, September 4, 2013 - The Canadian Supercar Series (Supercar) has called off the final event of the season. Supercar was scheduled to participate at Calabogie Motorsports Park on September 6, 7, 8 but due to a lack of confirmed entries the event was called off.

"It is not a great way to end our first full season," stated John Bondar, President of Supercar. "But it is not fair to the promoter and our fans if we cannot put on a great show," he continued. Many of the expected competitors had run into mechanical problems prior to the final event and could not attend.

Supercar enjoyed tremendous growth in its first full season. There were 23 entries this season compared to eleven last year. Supercar fans were very impressed with the quality of racecars this season which included BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Porsche and Viper. Supercar has received inquiries about next season from several Mustang owners and expects a few to sign up in 2014.

Supercar wishes to thank its competitors and fans for their support and looks forward to next season. More details about next season will be released in the new year.
