Future Looks Bright for Supercar
Just past the midway mark of its second full season, the Canadian Supercar Series (Supercar) continues to attract new competitors. Twenty one competitors have participated and more are set to join by the end of the season.
At the first event of the season, Supercar welcomed a number of drivers that compete with Radicals. The Radical is an open-cockpit sportscar powered by a motorcycle-based engine and it is extremely popular around the world. The drivers enjoyed competing against other high performance machines and are planning to participate in future events.
In preparation for the third event of the season, Supercar welcomed the efforts of ASQ to help build the field. ASQ is the sanctioning body for motorsport in Quebec. There are many drivers looking for professionally organized racing and an opportunity to test their skills on some of the best race tracks in Canada.
"We have seen some great racing at our first two events of the season, however the fields have not been strong," stated John Bondar, President of Supercar. "As the season continues we are looking forward to attracting more competitors. I am grateful for the support of the teams."
Supercar drivers have been helping to grow the series by reaching out to their friends and colleagues to tell them about the exciting racing in Supercar. Supercar welcomed three new drivers at Circuit ICAR.
